When we lose a loved one, time can help but does not always diminish the sense of loss. On All Saints Sunday, November 3, we remember the saints who have passed into the church triumphant and who continue their communion into the church through Christ’s Easter morning reality. Knowing Christ, this celebrates the fullness of their new life in God’s eternal plan. We also remember our little saints who have been baptized and are made new.
On All Saints Sunday, we invite you to bring a candle(s) and candle holder(s) to church for those you are honoring. The candles will be displayed prominently in the church and lit to remember their light remains. This time of remembrance points to the light of Christ which shines into the darkness of this world and death. This is family time. Please invite your whole family to come for this celebration.
If you wish to participate by honoring a loved one, please fill out the form found in the newsletter and place it in the basket on the cabinet next to the doorway. Please return choices by Sunday, October 27th.
