Cozy Comforters is a sewing ministry that meets twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday morning from approximately 9:00-11:00 am.
The group makes comforters for donation to Lutheran World Relief, which are distributed throughout the world to people in need. Comforters are also distributed in our area.
Don’t know how to sew? If you can tie a knot, you can help us! Come learn how to tie comforters.
We are always collecting cotton fabric as well as gently used or new sheets to use for comforters to distribute throughout the world (no patriotic prints, please).
To donate fabric to the Cozy Comforters, please contact our office to coordinate a drop-off time.
Our Social Ministry Committee is a vibrant and compassionate group dedicated to putting faith into action through a variety of outreach efforts. This committee spearheads multiple projects throughout the year, fostering a spirit of service within the congregation and the wider community.
Key initiatives include organizing fundraisers for Lutheran World Relief and Lutheran Disaster Response, both of which provide critical support to communities facing crises around the globe.
Locally, the committee coordinates a Christmas card shower for homebound members, ensuring they feel remembered and loved during the holiday season. Additionally, they gather gifts for families in need, partnering with local organizations to make sure that no family goes without during Christmas. This group embodies the Lutheran commitment to care for the neighbor, constantly seeking ways to engage the congregation in meaningful acts of service and charity.
